  2. Jesus' Son by Denis Johnson
    A collection of amazingly well written short stories.
  3. Lying by Sam Harris
    Everybody lies. This book takes a deeper look at why we do it, and how to stop doing it. Excellent short read.
  4. The Acid Diaries: A Psychonauts Guide to the History and Use of LSD by Christopher Gray
    I thought all drugs were bad/pointless until I read this.
  5. The Utopia Experiment by Dylan Evans
    A thought provoking look at what would happen if you were one of the few that survived an apocalypse. It's also about humans and relationships.

2017

  • Spartan Up! by Joe De Sena
    This book is mainly an advert for the Spartan Up! races, that aside it's a good reminder that your life is easy, and you can always push yourself to train/work harder.

2016

  • Grief is the Thing with Feathers by Max Porter (Fiction)
    This book literally brought me to tears, I was on a plane at the time, so that was slightly awkward.
  • Invisible Selling Machine by Ryan Deiss
    A fair amount of fluff here, but a lot of what Ryan preaches is spot on. If you sell any kind of product online, you should read this book.
  • The Personal MBA by Josh Kaufman
    I'd been running a business for over 10 years, then I read this book and wished I'd read it when I started. So much good advice. A must read for anyone running a business.
  • Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl
    A harrowing, yet touching tale about someone who experienced Auschwitz and survived.
  • The Dyslexic Advantage by Brock Eide & Fernette Eide
    Turns out my dyslexia isn't a disadvantage after all.
